We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our new business sales team. With demand for e-commerce at an all time high never has the demand for our services been so strong and we are looking for an experienced sales professional to help deliver consistent sales growth within the sales team.

This is a hands-on new business role where you’ll entice domestic and international brands, e-tailers and retailers to join i-Fulfilment.

As a member of the i-Fulfilment Sales Team, you will have the opportunity to deliver a significant impact to the business (and your career) through achievement and overachievement of sales targets to help the company continue and increase its strong growth trajectory. You’ll manage your own portfolio, focusing on larger clients with significant annual volumes. You will liaise with various functions within i-Fulfilment, including onboarding, operations, and client development teams to ensure effective onboarding and handover into the BAU process.

 

What You'll Do

In this role, you’ll be selling i-Fulfilment core products and a range of value-added services to new high-volume clients on a national and international basis. You’ll work with the onboarding team to onboard new business clients to generate an increased fulfilment volume, revenue and profit to meet stretching but achievable sales targets.

Self-sourcing and qualifying potential new clients or new channels to use both i-Fulfilment domestic and international fulfilment, shipping and returns services.

Maintaining a thorough understanding of your own portfolio of clients, including the management of an accurate live, in discussion & prospect pipeline through Pipe Drive CRM to ensure a consistent approach. You will be capable of managing your own priorities whilst achieving the KPI, goals and targets set out by the business.

To build and strengthen long-lasting, mutually beneficial trading relationships with all prospects and clients.

Ensure the correct internal departments are aware and engaged with your pipeline and active during implementation to secure a smooth transition from existing service providers in line with capacity planning.

Build client forecasts for an initial period to influence the operational planning strategy for all new business.

Manage all new business clients alongside the onboarding team during an effective ‘nursery period’ before formally handing over to the Client Success team.

Essential Skills and Experience Required

Prior solutions sales experience gained from a previous new business role. Perhaps you’ve been a high performing New Business Manager, Client Manager, Account Manager or Field Sales, for example.

The sales figures to back up your experience, we’re keen to see how you’ve exceeded stretch targets and developed new clients/accounts and dealt with strict deadlines.

Experience of operational cost, commercial profitability and P&L understanding awareness.

A full UK driving licence as this role may involve travel across the UK to clients and regular visits to the I-fulfilment sites.

Consultative sales approach – we want our new clients to feel part of the I-fulfilment journey, you’ll be their go-to person whilst we onboard them into our business.

Must have the capability to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated, often working some unsociable hours, which may include travel.

Desirable Skills and Experience Required

Two years or more in fulfilment/parcels/logistics/eCommerce/retail sectors, you’ll know how our industry works in detail.

Experience of managing >£5m pipelines.

Experience of effectively using PipeDrive or equivalent CRM tool.

Any sales or logistics qualifications are a bonus but not essential.

Competitive salary plus bonus/commission to provide competitive and achievable OTE of £40,000+

Salary: From £30,000.00 per year
